The SMITH LNX8™ is a unique product in the paving line marking world because it eliminates the grooving pattern or ghost line that is normally associated with flail cutter drum-style grooving machines.

Thermoplastic cold-plastic epoxy or paint coatings are erased by the LNX8 by breaking the coating and scraping across it simultaneously leaving a smoothed beveled edge without grooves or undulations on concrete or asphalt.

The Smith LNX8 is a walk-behind line remover machine that is easy to operate or you can purchase the optional ride-on machine for an even easier and faster job life. With the Smith LNX8 you get a no-vibration spindle mount with adjustable height pitch and pressure control with optional multiple ganged side-mounted removable weight ballasts with cradle dampener for best the surface finishes and long service life.

When compared to the horizontal shaft drum style scarifiers the LNX8 is a vertical shaft rotary setup that spins the removal tools along a vertical plane. This allows a circular top-down motion instead of a horizontal line of cutting and with the right rotary cutting tools you can get an excellent finish with minimal marring on the surface.
